The Rundown: Cliff gets an assignment to find a missing hero on a mysterious island.

Years ago, a young Cliff Secord participates in an air show and meets a personal hero in the form of Amelia Earhart. Years later, Cliff is approached by the government to go on a secret mission to find the missing Earhart on a mystery island.
Cliff meets with the members of his expedition including his ex-girlfriend Betty, the captain Popeye, a young investigator named Tintin and more. As they make their way across the sea, they run into danger and adventure as the Rocketeer discovers the island shaped like a skull.
The Story: Layman creates a fun, entertaining story in this issue. I love the cameos in the story and how each one has a connection to the story that makes sense for the time. The story has some cool moments and some great drama for Cliff as he deals with his personal relationship with Betty. The story has a fun, engaging premise and the cliffhanger definitely caught my attention and makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Edgar delivers solid, fun and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I like the style a lot and how it reminds me a little of Darwyn Cook.
