The Rundown: Black Widow recruits Bucky to form a new team to resist a world ruled by Doom.

In a world ruled by Doom, Bucky Barnes continues to enact small forms of resistance while the rest of the heroes fight on other fronts. After being ambushed by Black Widow, Natasha asks Bucky to help her with a mission in Russia. A mission that will require them to recruit a new and eclectic team.
Bucky pays a visit to New York to recruit Laura Kinney and the three make their way to the hidden base and discover the local townspeople being used in experiments by the Jackal. As he unleashes his twisted clones of the Illuminati, Bucky calls for help from an old Invaders friend in the form of Namor.
The Story: Humphries crafts a thrilling, entertaining and surprising story in this first issue. The team being assembled is interesting in both make-up and disposition as they have some dark and intense personalities that are bound to clash. I like seeing Bucky in the leadership role and the flirting between him and Natasha is a fun addition. The first issue has definitely gotten my attention with the action, thrills, humor and stakes.
The Art: Lima delivers some beautifully detailed and visually intense art throughout the issue. I like the visual style of the issue and how intense the imagery captures the tone of the story.
