The Rundown: Ruin and his friends travel to the land of the fairies to find his lost love and depose its new queen.

In exchange for helping her against Puck, the Fairie King Auberon has tasked Heather After with removing the usurper Nuala from he and Titania’s throne. She discusses with both Jophiel and Ruin about how the dream boy that Ruin is seeking might be a member of the Fae and the two are convinced to tag along and help, but Jophiel is wary of the adventure and its dangers.

At the same time, Dream ponders his decision to allow Ruin to enter the waking world. As he considers his decision, things become more complicated when Matthew returns to the Dreaming with news that Heather is in possession of an object connected to his past. As they travel to the waking world, Heather and her group find themselves being distracted by the beauties of the fairie world. Beauties that are hiding dark intentions.

The Story: Wilson takes these characters on a new adventure and continues to lay out a world that engages the reader in its settings and mythology. I like the fact that Dream is taking a more active role in events as well as the connections to previous characters and arcs. Wilson does a great job of crafting an engrossing tale that makes me anxious and excited to experience what happens to these characters next.

The Art: Robles delivers some beautiful art throughout this issue. Not only are the characters beautifully done, but the backgrounds and worlds of both the Fae and the Dreaming are fantastic in their mystical elements.
