The Rundown: The Avengers get help in their battle against Kang and Carol decides a new tactic might be what they need to stop him.

The Twilight Court returns to help the Avengers against Kang and his forces. Hyperion fights for the Avengers as well and the tide begins to turn in the battle. The Avengers regroup to confront Kang himself and Carol has a new plan. A plan that will have the Avengers recount their heroism to Kang who laughs it off until he realizes too late that they were appealing to the Grail. A move that brings the device to them, but it might be too late to stop what’s coming.
Happy Anniversary, Avengers
Captain America sends a signal out using the old Avengers Membership Card and Iron Man arrives in Madripoor to join his stakeout of Madam Hydra preparing to reveal something to her forces. Thor arrives as well because of the signal with Hulk coming to help. When Madam Hydra reveals her creation, the Avengers spring into action, but Steve’s signal calls in every Avenger that has ever been on the roster to help.
The Story: MacKay crafts an entertaining and engaging story in this issue. Showcasing the impact the Avengers have had not only in their recent battles, but also on those fighting with them was a great narrative choice and I like the twist towards the end of the story and what it means for the characters. I like Bendis’ short story a lot and how it reminds the reader how impactful the Avengers have been as a group.
The Art: Karami delivers visually thrilling art throughout the story and I really loved the action. Bagley creates some visually exciting moments and I love the roster of characters on display.
