The Rundown: Kindred prepares to end his conflict with Peter, but there are others who have a stake in their conflict.

All of Spider-Man’s allies are captured by Kindred and displayed around him to taunt him. With control of everything around him, Harry decides that it’s time for his old friend to come to terms with his legacy and confess his sins. Unfortunately, he won’t get that until the final guest to the party appears, Mary Jane.

MJ arrives and Peter breaks free in order to protect her, but Kindred is too powerful. In an unexpected twist, Mary Jane decides to voluntarily sit down with Harry and attempt to appeal to him as a old friend. Both MJ and Peter are unable to give Harry what he wants and their conflict boils over until the arrival of an unwanted guest throws the confrontation into chaos and Fisk unleashes something that threatens them all.

The Story: Nick Spencer delivers a great story full of conflict and character. The dialogue is great and the confrontations between Harry and Peter as well as Harry and MJ are handled perfectly, solidifying what makes these characters interesting. The twists are beautifully handled and the cliffhanger ending has me clamoring to get my hands on the next issue.

The Art: Patrick Gleason delivers some beautiful imagery throughout this issue. Not only do the characters look great, but the small details throughout the panels are evocative and visually engaging.
