The Rundown: Peter is determined to rescue Mary Jane and not even his friends will get in his way.

Peter Parker is tired of waiting for his friends to help him return to the dimension he left Mary Jane in and they discover that when the Fantastic Four finds him stealing a generator from Reed’s lab. After escaping the Baxter Building, Peter returns to Norman Osborn to finish the machine that will allow him to return. What they don’t know is that someone is watching them.

Unwilling to wait to test the device, Peter and Norman activate it sending Spider-Man into the unknown. He discovers Rabin waiting for him and emerges on the other side to an unexpected sight. One that will change everything for him and Mary Jane Watson.

The Story: Wells crafts an entertaining and bittersweet adventure for Peter in this issue. His desire to save Mary Jane drives him to some dark places and I love that the story is showing all of the bridges he burned in his mission, especially with his friends. The story takes some interesting turns and does a great job of showing the immediacy of Peter’s mission and emotional state.

The Art: Romita Jr crafts some thrilling art in the issue. I really enjoyed the visual style of the action and the the emotion of the characters.
