The Rundown: Paprika tries to return to her regular life, but a revelation will change everything about her feelings for Dill.

Things have returned to relative normalcy for both Paprika and Dill after their last encounter with Dill turning on the charm for the ladies in the office and Paprika being busy with work issues while getting closer to Za’atar. As things ramp up for the launch of their new project, Za’atar has questions about Dill and Paprika deflects as much as she can while also dealing with her own jealousy.

At the same time, Dill is going through some personal changes himself. Changes that will challenge the comfortable life he has always led. Unfortunately, those thoughts of change will lead him to lash out at the one person who has always been there for him even if it was justified. At the same time, Paprika comes to a realization about the way she treated Dill and how he treated her in return. A realization that will send her to his doorstep and an encounter they’ve both been wanting.

The Story: This story does a brilliant job of both subverting expectation while hitting all the marks of a great romantic comedy. Besides all the great humor and introspection, there are some really interesting revelations that the characters make both on their own and with others. I love the contrast between Paprika’s talk with her mother and Dill’s confrontation with his dad. Both moments beautifully capture elements that made these characters interesting. I also really love the cliffhanger in the issue and cannot wait to see where the story goes next.

The Art: Andolfo delivers some beautifully detailed and provocative art in this issue. The characters look amazing and Andolfo brilliantly incorporates the broad comedic elements into the pages through the art.
