Metropolis, a series about the fictional City of Tomorrow that does not include the Man of Steel, is reportedly going back to the drawing board.

DC Comics is gearing up to start its SVOD service and they are releasing the lineup for their new shows. I reported on the Metropolis series when it was announced and I made a point of mentioning that an X-Files style show featuring Lex Luthor and Lois Lane investigating the paranormal sounded like a bad idea.

Apparently, I was not the only one.

According to Deadline, Metropolis, which had a 13 episode straight to series order is going to be redeveloped. Whether they add Superman to the story or not is up in the air at this point, but it looks like the series might not meets its 2019 premiere date. I’m not bothered by this because I am on board with the series being redeveloped so that something that makes logical sense can be produced.
