Actors tend to leave successful shows all the time and this news isn’t necessarily that bad.

Arrow has already seen the departure of actor Colton Haynes (who is returning as a series regular) and the recent departure of actress Willa Holland, who plays Oliver Queen’s sister Thea aka “Speedy”.

According to Entertainment Weekly, actor Paul Blackthorne who plays Quentin Lance on the series will be leaving Arrow at the end of this season. Blackthorne has been on the series since the beginning and it’s been rumored that his contract is up at the end of this season, making his departure not surprising. The only question will be how Lance’s character is written out of the show. Will he get to ride off into the sunset, possibly returning to cameo in the future? Or will the Arrow cast be dusting off their black suits for a funeral scene? We’ll have to wait and see.
