The Arrowverse crossover event will be debuting in December on The CW and there is news that there will be two more additions to the DC Comics event.

According to a new report from Deadline, actor Tyler Hoechlin will be returning to Supergirl for the crossover event. Hoechlin joined the series for a short arc as Clark Kent aka Superman. As exciting as that news is for fans of his performance, The CW is also bringing Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane into the fold as well, having her appear for the first time on a CW show.

Casting for the character will begin soon. “We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse,” said Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner, Supergirl‘s executive producers. “This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”

Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman will appear on all three episodes during the event and will include the introduction of Ruby Rose’s Batwoman into the Arrowverse. The three-night crossover event kicks off with The Flash on at 8 PM Sunday, December 9, followed by Arrow at 8 PM December 10 and capping off with Supergirl on December 11.

Could the introduction of Superman and Lois into the Arrowverse crossover signal a possible Superman series in the works from Greg Berlanti and company? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
