The Rundown: Superman faces betrayal as he attempts to rescue Booster Gold.

Imra’s vision of the dark world ruled by Darkseid leads her to join the ruler of Apokalypse and create his dark Legion of Darkseid. In the present, Superman is betrayed by Superboy Prime who has joined the new Legion as they prepare to destroy the Omega energy within Booster Gold by killing the hero himself.

Lex finds himself being attacked by an acolyte of Darkseid as Booster Gold is placed in a machine that will kill him. While Superman looks on helplessly, Superboy Prime shows his true colors and frees the man of steel to fight beside him and help Booster Gold escape.

The Story: Williamson crafts a fun, thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. There are some great moments with Superboy Prime and I was convinced what direction the story was going until it takes a dramatic swing with a twist I didn’t expect but was impressed to witness.

The Art: Mora delivers stunning art throughout the issue. Visually, I became immersed in the world of this story and the character designs are amazing.
