The Rundown: Kara confronts a band of pirates while Ruthye confronts the man who destroyed her life.

Krem has been captured by Supergirl and Ruthye and they are holding him on a nearby planet. His compatriots decide to come to his rescue and Ruthye is left in charge of Krem while Kara goes to face off against the space pirates alone.

As Kara fights to stop the killers and stop their advanced weaponry, Ruthye is left with the man who killed her father. A man who delights in goading the young woman by telling her the circumstances of how he murdered her father and what his death actually means to the killer. With Kara captured by the pirates, Ruthye must decide if she will take her revenge or listen to her friend’s words.

The Story: King delivers a fantastic story in this issue. Everything from the contrasting storylines to the dialogue and narration works and enhances the experience for the reader. There is a great sense of tension throughout and it manifests in different ways in both Ruthye’s confrontation with Krem and Kara’s fight against the pirates. The story has a brilliant pace that draws you in and delivers on every element.

The Art: Evely delivers some amazing visuals throughout the issue. There are some truly beautiful character and action moments to be found and the art perfectly captures the tension of both storylines.
