Deron GenerallyStar Wars Episode IX is currently filming outside of London and The Sun and other sources have managed to catch some behind the scenes pictures from the JJ Abrams set.
Plot details are scarce, but the pics do show Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) on a planet in what looks like a mission for the Resistance. When we last left the trio, they were escape with what’s left of the Resistance as the First Order and Kylo Ren prepared to wipe them out.
It’s unclear what the mission Poe, Finn and Chewie are on is about, but the depletion of their forces should necessitate recruiting new members. Or maybe they’re on the trail of a former Rebellion general who might be in hiding.
Star Wars: Episode IX stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, and Carrie Fisher, with Naomi Ackie and Richard E. Grant. It is expected to be released in theaters December 20, 2019.
