The Rundown: With Speed turning darker, Trixie asks for help to save him from Racer X.

Trixie, Pops and the rest of the team are worried about Speed. He has been acting strangely and they are wondering if he will even show up for their latest race. Speed races to the track, almost killing a rival driver in the process and prepares to win by any means necessary and unnecessary.
Preparing for the race, Speed is confronted by Racer X who tries to tell him what’s happening to him, but the conversation ends violently with Speed taking off and the race continuing. Racer X, Spritle and the rest of the team will have to find a way to stop and help Speed before he kills someone on the track or ends up killing himself.
The Story: Pepose brings the heat, speed and thrills to this story. I love every confrontation within it and how dark Speed goes under the influence. I also love that there is a way forward for him through the people that love him. There’s great action throughout the story and a heart to it that keeps me coming back. A fun, fast paced and exciting story from start to finish.
The Art: Tinto crafts brilliantly detailed and visually thrilling art throughout the issue. I love the vibrancy of every page and panel of this issue.
