Amid the concerns over the growing health crisis, studios are making moves to push back the release of their upcoming summer blockbusters.
Sony is moving back its slate of upcoming films including its Spider-Man spinoff film and the third film in the Ghostbusters franchise.
Morbius, based on the Marvel Comics character, was originally slated to be released in theaters July 31st of this year. The film, set in the Sony Spider-Man universe and starring Jared Leto, Matt Smith and Jared Harris, will now be moved to March 19, 2021.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the third sequel to the original Ghostbusters film was set to be released July 10th. The film, starring Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon and Finn Wolfhard, will now premiere in theaters March 5, 2021.
