The Rundown: Erica finds herself protecting a young girl from a dangerous creature.
Two employees in a convenience store find their day interrupted by a young girl being accompanied by a bloody Erica. After finding a place to lay low, the employees realize that something else has entered the store as well. Something that they cannot see.
Erica and the little girl find a corner of the store to hide in while she calls for a blackout of the area. When the lights go out, the employees find themselves alone with the creature and Erica gives them one chance to make it out of this encounter alive.
The Story: I continue to love the unseen missions James Tynion IV is creating in this arc. They give a great insight into Erica as a character as well as giving the reader new and interesting views of the character and her world through the side characters caught in Erica’s wake as she hunts another monster while also dealing with the organization she is connected to.
The Art: Dell’Edera delivers some beautiful art in the issue. The action is amazing and I love the visual style of the issue and series.
