The Rundown: Erica is in more danger than she realizes as Cutter begins the next part of her plan.

The opening of the issue gives some backstory to the relationship dynamic between Riqui and Gabi. A dynamic based on a promise Riqui made to her dying love to protect Gabi whatever it takes. Riqui decides tha tthe best way to protect her is to bring her and Erica to the police. A proposal an injured Erica reluctantly agrees to.

Unfortunately for all of them, Cutter has already gotten to the police and when she is informed that Erica is coming in, she begins the next part of her plan. A plan that will involve the creature Erica is hunting and its ability to transform into the last thing that hurt it.

The Story: Tynion IV does a great job of expanding on the characters of the story and their connections with each other. Cutter is given some great moments to showcase her darkness. The rest of the story just moved a little too slow for me and felt too short. I wanted to see Erica function as more than just a passenger in this issue.

The Art: Dell’edera delivers some great art in the issue by creating great environments for the characters to live and operate within. The art gives great atmosphere that beautifully captures the tone and mood of the story.
