With all of the Marvel movie news seemingly focused on the upcoming third Spider-Man film and its growing cast, some might have forgotten that the next Doctor Strange film is set to begin filming soon.

Now there’s news of another face being added to the cast.

According to Deadline, actress Rachel McAdams is returning to the world of Doctor Strange by reprising her role of Dr. Christine Palmer in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It was unclear whether McAdams’ character would appear in the sequel, but the Deadline article suggests that a deal had been made for her to appear, but the details of her role have not been released.

Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor are expected to return as well as Strange’s assistant Wong and nemesis Mordo. Sam Raimi is taking over directing duties on the sequel which will also feature Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch joining the cast.

Fans of the character won’t have to wait for the next film to see the Doctor though. Cumberbatch is not only rumored to make an appearance as Doctor Strange in the upcoming Disney Plus series WandaVision, but he is also completing his role as Strange in the upcoming third Spider-Man film.
