The Rundown: Edison Crane learns what the Icarus Society wants and the part he plays in getting it.

An expedition in the past reveals the golden clues to an ancient mystery. In the present, Professor Tong waits for Crane to break him out of prison. When Crane arrives to retrieve the criminal, he is transported to the man’s hidden base in the ocean and told exactly what the Icarus Society wants and who he will have to see to get it.

After learning of the advanced technology that Tong is searching for, Crane is tasked with stealing the key to a possibly hidden civilization. Unfortunately, his target is in the possession of another member of the mysterious Icarus Society.

The Story: Millar continues to craft a thrilling, intriguing and engaging story in this issue. Crane continues to be an awesome character and seeing him in a vulnerable position makes me excited to contemplate how he will get out of it. The series showcases the character extremely well and the mystery at the heart of the story is intriguing enough to keep me coming back for more.

The Art: Buffagni deliver some beautifully detailed and engrossing art in the issue. There are pages and panels that transport the reader and moments that excite visually.
