Remember back to the good old days of 2014 when the biggest movie related scandal about a blockbuster was when Edgar Wright left from directing Ant-Man in pre-production. It all seems so quaint now.

Peyton Reed was brought in to take over the production and delivered a hilarious heist film that deserves its place in the MCU. With the success of the first film, a sequel was expected to be announced soon. It has been announced as Ant-Man and the Wasp and is expected to go into production this summer. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a lot of news about the production, but that looks like it might change soon.

Director Peyton Reed took to Instagram and released an image of Ant-Man Hank Pym and original Wasp Janet Van Dyne with the caption Stay Tuned and the hashtag #antmanandthewasp. Could this mean that we could be getting some casting news about the currently missing Janet? Will we find out who is playing her? Her fate is definitely a loose thread that needs to be addressed and with confirmation that Michael Douglas is returning as Hank Pym, there is indication that the hunt for Janet might be part of the overall plot.

Hope-Wasp

We’ll just have to wait and see. Hopefully, there will be some additional information and news at either Disney’s Expo D23 or at San Diego Comic Con.
