Ridley Scott’s masterpiece based on the story by Phillip K. Dick has been delighting and intriguing fans since it premiered in 1982. It’s taken over thirty years for a sequel to the groundbreaking film to be made and there is new trailer that delves more into the story of the upcoming sequel.
The new trailer for Blade Runner: 2049 showcases the world that the characters now inhabit. It shows a future that is teetering on the brink of war and the search for someone with the secret to the future of humanity. You get glimpses of the action with scenes between Officer K (Ryan Gosling) and Dave Bautista’s character.
You are also introduced to Neander Wallace (Jared Leto) and his mission to uncover the secret of unlocking the potential of replicants. We’re also introduced to Robin Wright’s character who seems to be desperately trying to keep the peace as everyone is searching for the missing Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) for their own purposes.
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
Blade Runner: 2049 opens in theaters October 6, 2017.
