The Rundown: A mythical sword stuck in stone will call all the warring Arthurs together while the quest for the grail continues.

As it gets closer to Christmas, the birds bring news about the sword Excalibur stuck in a stone. Word that will draw the warring Arthurs to London to stake their claim as the Once & Future king of the Britons. Duncan, Rose and Gran decide to get to the sword first and are met with a hail of gunfire from a familiar face. They soon join up with some old colleagues to defend the sword from the oncoming Arthurs and Bridgette will come up with an interesting plan to keep them at bay.

At the same time, Mary will continue to watch over her Galahad as he tries and fails to retrieve the grail. With each failure, Mary believes that the next time will be successful. When Lancelot decides to do something different, Galahad succeeds, but his retrieval will not have the desired effect. An outcome that will prompt an unexpected reunion of mother and daughter.

The Story: Gillen continues to deliver an awesome, thrilling and fun story in this issue. The action is awesome and I love the way both stories complement each other in theme and tone. The dialogue is great and I love how the relationships between the characters continue to grow and evolve. The story is clever, entertaining and highly engaging from start to dramatic and unexpected finish.

The Art: Dan Mora is one of my favorite artists and every page and panel of this issue is filled with beautiful backgrounds, character designs and visually thrilling action.
