The Rundown: In the final battle against the Upside Down Man, the Justice League Dark team will risk everything to stop him once and for all.

Constantine sacrifices himself to show the rest of the team the path they need to take to bring down the Upside Down Man. While Zatanna holds him in her arms, he tells the creature about belief and how that belief will finally stop them. With the team ready to fight, the Upside Down Man makes his move as Diana contacts Circe to get the power she needs to hold him.

As the battle rages on, more sacrifices will have to be made. As members of the team fall to the creature’s power, Khalid will get some unexpected help from Nobu. Help that will come just as Swamp Thing and Man Bat begin their assault and Zatanna remembers something that just might turn the tide of the battle in their favor.

The Story: Ram V ramps up the action in this action and raises the stakes for the heroes by showing the reader that not all of the heroes could be coming back from this mission. The plot is solid and engaging. The dialogue is great and there are some solid heroic moments from every member of the team. The best part of the story is how unexpected the ending of it was. I did not see that moment coming and have no idea what it will mean going forward, but I am intrigued.

The Art: Amancay Nahuelpan delivers some beautiful art in this issue. Each page has great details in both the backgrounds and characters and the action is kinetic.
