The Rundown: The League investigates the theft of something precious to one of them, but is the heist a distraction from something bigger?

Leviathan enlists the help of the Royal Flush Gang. After showing up at their base, he tells them that he has a plan for the world. A plan that will require what he considers a justice league level force. At the same time, Superman and Black Adam investigate the theft of the fortress of solitude. As they discuss the theft and Clark’s emotional state, Diana questions what in the fortress would be worth stealing.

The thieves who stole the fortress decide to film themselves investigating what they took. At the same time, Superman and the rest of the League go over potential suspects as well as what in the fortress could be used against them. After being taunted by an item from his fortress showing up in the middle of nowhere, Superman heads into an obvious trap as the rest of the League prepares to take on the thieves themselves when they tip their hand.

The Story: Bendis crafts an entertaining story with a lot of dialogue between the characters. The Royal Flush moments are interesting and the heist is an interesting plot point. Bendis does a great job of setting up the reader to speculate on what the bigger story is with both groups and how Leviathan is involved.

The Art: Hester delivers some really good visuals throughout the issue. The action is well done and the composition of panels are visually engaging.
