According to Variety, Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo revealed who the voice and motion capture performer beyond Proxima Midnight actually is.
While we’ve been anticipating the release of the upcoming Infinity War film and the gathering of our favorite Marvel heroes together at last, one of the prevailing mysteries has been who is playing Thanos’ elite team the Black Order. The Black Order is tasked with retrieving the Infinity Stones on Earth by going after their locations and dealing with the gathered forces of the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and more. Irish actor Tom Vaughn-Lawlor has already been confirmed as Ebony Maw and Terry Notary is confirmed to play Cull Obsidian. This leaves the only female member of the Order unknown until now.
According to an interview in the British magazine Radio Time, Proxima Midnight is played by Tony and Emmy nominated actress Carrie Coon.
Coon is an in-demand actress known for her roles in films like Gone Girl and The Post as well as her work in television including three seasons on HBO’s The Leftovers and playing Gloria Burgle on FX’s Fargo.
Coon’s confirmation in the role of Proxima Midnight only leaves one member of the Black Order yet to be revealed and that would be Corvus Glaive and the only other member of the Infinity War cast whose role has not yet been revealed is Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage.
