The Rundown: Abe makes a devastating discovery that might get him killed.

After escaping almost certain death, Abe and Speed find themselves in the presence of a real life human. As she runs to escape from the robots, they follow her trying to avoid the authorities hunting them. As they continue to chase after the human girl, she is adamant that she wants nothing to do with the robots and is desperate to escape the city.

As they continue to escape from the city, Abe notices something about the robot bugs that roam around the city until the robots and the human are finally separated. Abe is despondent and feeling more alone. Seeking out Speed again, he tries to find a kindred spirit in his loneliness, but finds something darker about the city.

The Story: Matthew and Mark Elijah Rosenberg continue to craft an interesting and engaging world in this issue. This issue adds new depth to the character of Abe while also adding a new and interesting dynamic between him and the young human he discovers. Everything in the issue and the world it is creating makes me want to know more about it and I cannot wait to see where this story goes next and what Abe’s place in the world means.

The Art: MacDonald creates some great visual moments throughout the issue. I really love the visual style of this series and the character designs of the robots.
