The Rundown: Hulk smashes his way into forbidden space and Banner finds himself pushing his other self to the limits.

Hulk’s trip into forbidden space will meet with resistance. Resistance that will come to a bloody and violent end as Banner will not be deterred from his mission. When Banner awakens, he will discover that the forces in the void are attempting to stop him and if he doesn’t do something quickly, he will revert to his human form. Ramping up his rage by torturing his subconscious self with battle, Banner works to get the energy he needs to break free even if that means having his inner Hulk face monsters and battles from his past.

As Hulk continues to fight to break free, Banner is warned that the systems he is using to pilot Hulk are in danger. A danger he doesn’t seem concerned with until things even worse. After being pulled into an anomaly, Hulk is deposited into a lab and under a force field he cannot escape. As Banner tries to escape, his captor reveals himself and it is someone he could never imagine.

The Story: Cates delivers an exciting and action filled story in this issue. There are so many disturbing, yet deeply intriguing moments throughout the plot that kept me engaged. I loved a lot of the dark humor in the story as well and the duality and dangerous quality of Banner makes me interested in what he will do next.

The Art: Ottley delivers some amazing art in this issue. The style is perfect for this kind of mind-bending narrative and the big action scenes throughout the issue are brilliantly composed.
