Hugh Jackman is not only Wolverine, but he is also an accomplished Broadway veteran and singer. Those talents are about to be brought back in a huge way for his next film.
“No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else.” Hugh Jackman opines as the lead in his next film. Jackman will star as the self-proclaimed “World’s Greatest Showman” PT Barnum in an upcoming musical The Greatest Showman from 20th Century Fox, directed by Michael Gracey and written by Jenny Bicks (Sex and the City) and Bill Condon (Beauty and the Beast).
The Greatest Showman trailer shows Barnum losing his job and promising his wife, played by Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea) and children that he will provide them with a better life. Fueled by his promise and an idea, he uses his tenacity and showmanship to build his circus, changing the lives of the people around him.
The film is a musical and it will feature original songs from the Academy Award winning lyricist for the smash hit phenomenon La La Land.
The Greatest Showman also stars Zac Efron (Baywatch), Zendaya (Spider-Man: Homecoming), Rebecca Ferguson (The Girl on the Train) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman).
