The Rundown: Ami is in trouble with her latest acquisition and the house sends her help.
Ami’s attempt to retrieve the latest item the house wants runs into a snag when a creature of immeasurable power attacks her. With Ami in trouble, the house decides to send Buzz to save her. After enhancing him physically, he rushes out into the night to find and protect his friend. What follows is an epic battle and the revelation of what the house has done to Buzz and Ami.
At the same time, the events unfolding are being watched by an unknown group. A group who knows more about what is happening and decides to make its move when Buzz and Ami are supposedly safe. When the entity controlling the house removes Ami from harm, she discovers the dark secret at the heart of it.
The Story: Watters delivers an impressive continuation of the story with some great twist and a new plot element that is interesting. Seeing another opposing force make its presence known as Ami discovers some dark things about the house raises the level of drama in the story and engages me in the fate of these characters. An enjoyable ride that continues to keep me interested in seeing what comes next.
The Art: Wijngaard crafts some beautiful and disturbing visuals throughout the issue. The action scenes work really well and there is a great tone to the art that reflects the tone and mood of the story and characters.
