It’s another trial for Harley in her quest to become the Angel of Retribution.

With her mother dealing with a cancer diagnosis, Harley Quinn does what she needs to. She breaks into STAR Labs in order to look for an experimental cure. Unfortunately, a multiverse incursion locks down the building with Harley trapped inside. As if that weren’t bad enough, a swarm of aliens begins to hunt Harley down.

In the course of her escape, she runs into both Joker and Batman. Both men act stranger than she remembers, especially Batman. When Mirand’r shows up, Harley realizes that this is another trial and that the trials have the potential to be lethal. Harley has to fight her way out of the lab and finds out that there is a bigger problem to deal with and a life in the balance when she finally makes it to the control room.

This is a fine story. It’s entertaining and fun. I enjoyed the cameos and how they interacted with Harley. Beyond that, there isn’t much. The stakes are set relatively low and the quest for the cure for Harley’s mother gets abandoned pretty quickly. Humphries does make this issue enjoyable, but it was a pretty quick read that isn’t particularly memorable after the initial read.

Sami Basri’s art is spectacular. Everything looks amazing and I love the version of Joker that was chosen for this issue.
