The Rundown: John Stewart tries to live a normal life on Earth, but galactic threats make their way to his home.

A space station orbiting the planet finds itself bombarded by a powerful energy that one of the astronauts will discover coming from a strange ring. At the same time, John Stewart laments his old life as a member of the corps and shows a nascent member of the United Planet’s new Green Lantern Corps the cost of coming to his home uninvited.

As another Lantern investigates the space station’s ruins, he finds himself being attacked by undead monsters and seeking the help of the only one that can stop them, John Stewart.

The Story: An engaging, exciting and thrilling mystery. Kennedy Johnson offers a new and unique take on John Stewart as well as a new mission that seems to be specifically about him. I liked the issue a lot and the drama both with missing his old life as well as the complications with his mother. There is some great action in the issue as well and I look forward to seeing where the story goes next.

The Art: Montos delivers some great art in the issue. I love the visual style and how it plays into the dramatic and horrific elements of the plot.
