Director Shane Black decided to let fans know that cameras are rolling on the next Predator film. He announed it on Twitter along with a photo of some of the cast.
Shane Black (Iron Man 3) has a history with the franchise going back to first movie back in 1987. Black played the role of Hawkins in the original Arnold Schwarzeneggar film. He went on to greater success as a writer, crafting the screenplay and creating the characters of Riggs and Murtaugh for the 1987 film Lethal Weapon. He also wrote cult classics The Monster Squad, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and last years The Nice Guys.
While there are no script details available, Black does go on in the tweet to assure fans that the film, expected early next year, will have an R rating.

The partial cast photo includes Sterling K. Brown (This is Us), Trevante Rhodes (Westworld), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Jacob Tremblay (Room), the director himself, Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse) and Keegan-Michael Key (Key and Peele).
