The Rundown: The remaining girls make a desperate plan to escape their murderous mother.

After the murder of their older sister at the hands of their mother, the girls come up with a plan to finally end her terror and escape from the farm. With no man staying at the house to be murdered, the youngest decides to ask her mother for tea with the plan of poisoning hers. A plan that takes a dark turn when a series of events causes their mother to be dragged underground by the bodies of the dead.
The girls believe they are finally safe, but the old woman in the woods knows the worse thing that could happen would be for their mother to become part of the land and connect her with Big Eyes. With their baby brother in tow, the girls have to try to escape their burning home and haunted land with their demon possessed mother hot on their heels.
The Story: Cleveland brings this story to a thrilling, dark and entertaining conclusion in this issue. I love all of the horror elements of the story and Cleveland brilliantly ramps up the tension throughout the story right to the final reveal. All of the story elements that have made this series so engaging come together in this finale and it ends with some great development of the characters as well as awesome action and thrills.
The Art: Cormack delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this series and this issue encompasses all of the visceral horror that I have enjoyed from this series.
