The Rundown: Kwame takes on Plunder as the rest of the Planeteers fight to stop a disaster.

Usinbt synthetic rings, Plunder has turned himself into Captain Pollution and only the Planeteers stand in his way as he siphons power from Gaia herself. Kwame thinks back to the accident that changed his life as he presses an attack on Pollution using the power of Earth to give Linka and Gi time to escape and save civilians from the impending tidal wave heading towards the city.
At the same time, Ma-Ti and Wheeler go deeper into Plunder’s base to find Wheeler’s ring as his forces try to end them once and for all. As Plunder continues to toy with Kwame, the girls manage to save people on the ground as the entire group prepares to summon Captain Planet.
The Story: Pepose delivers a thrilling, action packed adventure in this issue. The story does a fantastic job of giving Kwame and the other characters great agency. I love the buildup of tension and suspense throughout the story as the different parts of the story converge to an awesome reveal that makes me excited to see what happens in the next issue.
The Art: Casallos delivers stunning art throughout the issue. The visuals are thrilling and the action draws you in through the art and its visual tone.
