The Rundown: Blade goes after the heart of darkness to attract the attention of the Adana.

Blade continues his hunt for the Adana and will utilize an old enemy to get the answers he seeks with the help of his new allies. After discovering what the enemy knows, Blade gets some advice that will lead him to speak to Satana.

An attack on a hidden library filled with the tomes of ancient evil knowledge is destroyed and the forces of evil want the Adana to find who is responsible. The Adana agrees to emerge and destroy the one who did it, Blade.

The Story: Hill continues to create some great storytelling in this issue. There is a great level of tension throughout the issue mixed with awesome action and thrills. I love the direction this series takes Blade and the story has a remarkable buildup that makes me excited to see what happens when the characters face each other again.

The Art: Pinti delivers some great art in the issue. The visuals deliver great action and adventure that drew me in.

I want to like this series, but it is mostly a lot of style and slick artwork over narrative substance.
