The Rundown: Wesley enacts the final part of his plan, but there are powerful forces who object to his world order.
Mindy finds herself face to face with an interplanetary warlord named Morax who discovers that no one in the future knows who he is. A warlord who decides to use the tech Mindy used to escape to travel to the future and take over.
In the present, Dave misses the chance to join the rest of the remaining heroes for the president’s mission and has no idea that Nemesis and Wesley are slaughtering them all. A move that will make things difficult when Morax’s forces arrive in the future.
The Story: The story gets a lot bigger with a lot more moving parts and tons of action. Millar crafts another great chapter that not only has some devastating moments for characters you’ve grown to love, but also some moments of possible hope from the most unlikely of heroes. I continue to enjoy how this story is expanding and the cliffhanger ending of this issue makes me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Larraz has a mastery of visual detail and explosive action. The art in this issue is stunning and I loved every page and panel.
