The Rundown: Rana and the others find a temporary stop, but Ares’ chase continues.
The group makes their way to upstate New York and to the home of someone close to Clarence. After getting some much-needed rest, Rana deals with the fact that she continues to hide things from her father and that they need a plan if they are going to stay away from Ares.
Unfortunately, Ares and his forces arrive along with their newest recruit. As a battle rages between both sides, Rana’s group looks for an escape. They find one, but it might cost one of them everything to secure it.
The Story: Ahmed continues to craft a thrilling and entertaining story in this issue. The characters, like the reader, get a temporary reprieve from the chase and the story does a great job of using that time to make me care more about these people and what they are going through as well as the threats breathing down their collective necks. There’s some great action in the issue and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
The Art: Levens delivers some beautifully detailed and impressive art throughout the issue. The visuals have a great tone that conveys the thrills and emotions of the story.
