The Rundown: A seemingly cursed warrior sets off on a dangerous mission with some unlikely companions.

Heigl has always believed himself to be cursed. A notion that doesn’t get any better when he slays a frost giant and finds himself in possession of the eye of Odin. Determined to return it to its rightful owner lest another curse befall him, he decides to set out to find the king of the frost giants.

Unfortunately, Heigl will not be going alone as the village blacksmith and former warrior decides to accompany him on his quest in order to prove that he is still a warrior and a woman named Kadlin, who believes that she is a Valkyrie, decides to join the quest as well

The Story: Wagner delivers an incredibly fun and exciting adventure in this first issue. The story delivers great characters and interpersonal conflict while also giving the reader a sense of whimsy with its humor. I like the dynamic of this group and look forward to seeing more of their adventures.

The Art: Odland delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The characters look unique and interesting and the settings are beautifully designed and visually compelling.
