The Rundown: Batman and Superman find themselves plunged into the middle of a war.

A military aircraft has gone missing and since it is the second one to disappear, Batman, Robin and Superman travel the same trajectory to find answers. Unfortunately, something strikes Superman and the Batwing forcing them to the ground in a lush forest filled with dinosaurs.
The three heroes find themselves fighting an army of lizard men and Superman is separated from the group and captured as Batman and Robin find themselves in the presence of Travis Morgan, one of the missing pilots and his freedom fighters while Superman is brought before a powerful magic user.
The Story: Waid crafts a fun, thrilling adventure that reminds me of everything I love about the bigger DC universe and some of its more obscure heroes. I love the inclusion of Warlord in this issue and how the characters are pulled into a new and unique world. I look forward to seeing where this story goes next.
The Art: Gutierrez crafts some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I really love the character designs and the lush, detailed beauty of the world.
