The Rundown: Batman and Superman’s identities are revealed as the Joker/Luthor merger takes in more information to control the world.
Lex Luthor and Joker have taken the Absorbascon and have merged into a being capable of stealing all information and are using it against a fused Batman and Superman in order to reveal their secret identities. A move that puts Alfred in danger when Poison Ivy attacks Wayne Manor and Lois begins writing about Clark being Superman. Superman manages to rescue his parents before he goes to talk to Lois.
Things get worse as Joker takes over and people start to forget how to do important tasks that put lives at risk. The other members of the Justice League will have to find a way to rally and work with Batman/Superman to find a way to stop the villains and remove the device before people die.
The Story: Waid brings this arc to a satisfying conclusion. There is great action throughout the story and a fantastic use of the Justice League. I really liked the conversation with Lois and the story with Alfred at the manor. This was a fun, engaging and entertaining story from start to finish and Waid’s storytelling is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this title.
The Art: Gutierrez crafts some impressive and visually dynamic art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and the imagery on every page.
