The Rundown: Peris is taken and Lela must decide how to save herself and her friends.

Peris and the others find themselves outgunned when their home is surrounded by Armorclads demanding answers. With no other options, Peris and the others fall in and the commander of the group threatens to kill everyone if he doesn’t get answers. Peris prepares to sacrifice himself for the sake of his friends, but a communication from base recalls the Armorclads who separate Peris from the others and transport them.

When Peris gets taken away, Lela steps up when their convoy gets attacked. Coordinating with the others to get power back to their suits, Lela and the others hold off the attack and decide their next mission will be to bring Peris home.

The Story: The second issue of Armorclads continues to craft an interesting world with engaging characters. The world of the story continues to unfold in ways that keep the reader interested in the tension and terror that the characters face not only from external threats, but from their own. The characters are intriguing because their origins are mysterious and how they are treated makes you empathize with their struggle.

The Art: Garcia delivers some wonderfully detailed art throughout the issue. There is great action on many of the pages and Garcia does an excellent job of bringing out the tension of the moment through the expressions of the characters.
