Scott Lang aka Ant-Man played an integral role in the events of this year’s Avengers: Endgame. Now there is news regarding the characters next adventure on the big screen.

According to an exclusive in The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios has greenlit a third adventure for Ant-Man on the big screen. In addition to bringing the character back, Marvel Studios has brought back director Peyton Reed to helm the third adventure.

Reed has directed the first two Ant-Man films for Marvel. Paul Rudd is expected to return as the title character. No other casting news or rumors have been released.

There is currently no release date for the third Ant-Man film, but THR’s sources say the plan is to begin shooting either at the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021 with a likely 2022 release date.
