The Rundown: Cats and dogs team up to fight for their freedom.

Fifi is a cat living in the local pound waiting to either be adopted or killed. When an older dog named Lucky is scheduled to meet his end, he imparts some wisdom on the young cat about freedom. Wisdom that will lead to a plan for escape.

Teaming with another dog in the pound and using an unseen method of escape, Fifi rallies the other animals in the pound to rebel against the humans. Unfortunately, their temporary victory doesn’t take into account the persistence of man.

The Story: King crafts an engaging story in this first issue. The plot is rich and immersive with characters that you connect with almost instantly. I love the Animal Farm feel of the story and how intriguing both the characters and their adventure are.

The Art: Gross delivers some beautiful art in the issue. The visuals are filled with great details and wonderful compositions.
