Deron GenerallyWarner Brothers TV and DC Universe are making more casting announcements as they have found the female lead for their upcoming Swamp Thing live action series on the streaming service.
According to an exclusive from Deadline, actress Crystal Reed has been cast in the lead role of Abby Arcane in the new series written by Mark Verheiden and Gary Dauberman.
According to the Deadline report; Swamp Thing follows Abby Arcane (Reed) as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.
Reed previously starred in the DC Comics series Gotham as Sofia Falcone and was also featured on the MTV series Teen Wolf.
Swamp Thing is expected to premiere in 2019 on DC Universe.
