The Rundown: A new team assembles when a supernatural threat emerges in the city.

In the wake of a dangerous event, anti super-powered sentiment is growing and the Avengers have disbanded. At the same time, Luke Cage is running for re-election and someone close to his campaign gets an unexpected visit. Carol Danvers faces her demons with the help of Daredevil and Logan decides to make a trip to the city and runs into Spider-Man fighting David Colton who is trying to understand his new powers.
As something ominous continues to grow in the city, a young woman named Paige is given a magical book by her father and told to find Spider-Man as powerful entities emerge and begin to attack people who have made deals with Mephisto. With their deals nullified, Paige finds Spider-Man and the other heroes fighting in the streets and tells him that with the deals nullified, May Parker is being targeted by these strange angelic creatures.
The Story: Zdarsky creates an entertaining story in this issue. I like these characters individually so it’s going to be interesting to see how they work together as a team or even if they can. Colton continues to be a wild card in the deck, but I am moderately intrigued with his story. I like the supernatural elements of the plot and I want to see how they play out, especially with the connection to Spider-Man.
The Art: Checchetto crafts some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the character designs a lot.
