The Rundown: Daredevil fights to take on a villain who believes he is curing fear.

In the wake of seeing Elektra again and canceling several classes, Foggy confronts Matt about the direction his life is taking. Unfortunately, Matt decides to take to the streets instead of dealing with his issues and pays a visit to Detective Forte who is investigating a murder. A murder Mister Fear appears to admit to and reveal his new plan.

A new drug has hit the streets that is removing the ability to feel fear and causing people to do reckless and dangerous things. Daredevil fights to bust the drug labs, but the workers are not afraid. With leads drying up, Matt returns to the university to tender his resignation, but gets an unexpected visitor to his class.

The Story: Phillips crafts a dark, thrilling and engaging story in this issue. I love that the growing internal drama with Matt continues and how Phillips incorporates that drama alongside the drama with Forte. It gives some interesting layers to the story as both men deal with increasingly unique and dangerous threats. I also enjoy how the supporting cast is utilized in this issue and how they bridge the gap between Matt’s personal and professional lives. All of that culminating in an awesome cliffhanger that makes me excited to see what happens next.

The Art: Garbett delivers stunning visuals throughout the issue. I love the visual style and character designs a lot as well as the action.
