The Rundown: Batman races to confront the Joker once and for all and discovers something darker at the heart of his mission.

After taking on Scarecrow, Bruce decides to take the fight straight to Joker at the manor and finds himself being confronted by his friends who have all made deals with the creature in their attempt to help Bruce.

With all of his friends against him and being hunted by the police and the Robins, Batman attempts to escape, but finds himself in the caves beneath the manor where he confronts the creature itself and gets some unexpected help in escaping from the trap before he finds another surprise waiting for him when he returns home.

The Story: Snyder crafts a dark, thrilling and suspenseful story in this issue. I love every twist and turn within this story and every surprise that results from them. There are some that will change Bruce’s relationship with the people he considered friends, some that will challenge everything he believes in and one that will alter the course of his life and each reveal adds more intensity and drama to everything the character is going through. I am excited to see which direction Snyder takes this story next.

The Art: Dragotta delivers intense and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the visuals and the battle between Batman and Joker is amazing.
