The Rundown: Diana takes on twin gods of fear who target someone close to her.

A giant eye is hovering over Gateway City and Diana knows that it isn’t the eye of Zeus, but in reality a manifestation of the twin gods of fear Phobos and Deimos. As she thinks back on a possible way to stop the gods from attacking the city, she is brought into a vision of Barbara and that fear for her gives the gods time to escape.

In the aftermath, Diana goes to her base and teams with Steve to find a way to inoculate the citizens against the fear being created. At the same time, Phobos and Deimos decide to find the real Barbara and use her as a means of getting to Diana. As they hunt for her, they discover that something about Barbara has changed. Something darkly powerful.

The Story: Thompson crafts a thrilling, entertaining story in this issue. I continue to love how Thompson is developing Diana and how the lessons from her past continue to shape the hero she is becoming. I love that this issue deals with fear and how that fear manifests in Diana and her actions. The enemies in this issue are entertaining as well and I love that they go after Barbara and cannot wait to see what happens now that they have found her.

The Art: Sherman creates beautifully detailed and visually engaging art throughout the issue. Everything from the character designs to the environments looks amazing.
