The Rundown: Kid Omega takes on Cassandra Nova in a psychic showdown.

Cyclops and his team have infiltrated the 3K flying headquarters and Quentin is waiting for his moment to strike. He finds his way into the brain of Cassandra Nova and the battle begins between the two psychics. Nova is prepared for battle and goes after Quentin’s ideologies in her attacks.
Quentin finds himself barely holding on, but he pushes through to stay in the fight before finding a way to exploit Nova. A way that will take the pair deep into his subconscious and give a potential ally the time and opening to turn the tide of the fight.
The Story: MacKay crafts an entertaining side story in this issue. I like the dynamic between Cassandra Nova and Quentin. Quentin’s trepidation at the beginning of the fight is warranted given everything that they have been through with Nova and I really enjoyed the character growth showcased throughout the story.
The Art: Diaz creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I really love the fight scenes and how they call back to some classic X-Men moments.
