The Rundown: An aging driver finds himself in the middle of powerful forces using him for their own ends.

In the near future, corporations and the wealthy are the only ones living in the cities and no one left knows how to drive. An aging driver and smuggler named Clutch lives in the desert with the rest of the poor and is trying to find a way to make a living and help his ailing granddaughter when he is arrested by one of the only human police officers left who abruptly loses him when they are attacked and Clutch is brought to a familiar face.
One of the powerful elites decides to pay back the smuggler for helping him build his fortune and status by helping the man’s granddaughter. Unfortunately, he’ll have to drive her to the doctor. A drive that will not only expose the driver to more danger, but reveal a conspiracy with Clutch at the heart of it.
The Story: Murphy creates a thrilling, interesting and entertaining story in this first issue. There are some great moments of relevance both in its characters and its message. Hopefully, the politics in the story are able to seamlessly integrate into a great story without swerving too far into preaching to the reader. It’s a fun, engaging story that has some great thrills and an intriguing premise that has my attention.
The Art: Murphy delivers stunning visuals throughout the issue. Everything from the character designs to the action looks amazing.
